Consumers would see improved Web search efforts by all major players as a result of a proposed search partnership between Microsoft and Yahoo, experts say.
A Yahoo executive created a version of the Yahoo search engine called Yuil, which provided Yahoo search results in a Cuil-esque format. The search engine was taken down eventually (probably at the request of someone higher up at Yahoo or Cuil), but it's still kind of funny.
Eric E. Schmidt, Google's chief executive, said yesterday that his company's search deal with Yahoo was a win-win-win: a win for the companies, a win for the publishers and a win for advertisers.
Advertisers don't seem to agree.
OK - so SEO people are persona non grata on Newsvine....right?
But here's one who is actually giving away all the secrets for free... at a rate of one a day.
She's up to number 7 so far. In 292 days all Viners could be SEO gurus.
(Will we have to ban ourselves then?)
